Core Duties:
Responsible for entire software development life cycle as part of business process reengineering efforts for the development, modification and maintenance of web-enabled applications. The Sr. Programmer Analyst leads a team that manipulates data in various formats to produce and mail documents using secure data transmission, data translation, and USPS processing requirements. Responsibilities include collecting requirements, creating project plan, coding, documentation, testing and implementation of software systems and applications; also includes design and implementation of OCR/ICR applications, forms, fonts, processes and software for high-speed laser printers. Projects include conversion of legacy systems to new technologies, and making key decisions on software and hardware upgrades.
Requirements:
Masters in computer science or closely related field (or foreign equivalent degree, established through education equivalency evaluation), plus three years relevant experience. In lieu of masters degree requirement, the employer will accept a bachelors degree plus a minimum of five years of progressive relevant experience.
Special Skills:
In performing the job duties, the Sr. Programmer Analyst will utilize the following computer skill sets, among others: VB.Net, SQL Server 2000/2005 ,VB 6.0, ASP, Java, JavaScript, VB Script, HTML, Win32 API, FoxPro in various Windows OS.
